Columnar basalt rocks from shotcrete

Olomouc Zoo

In 2019 we built artificial columnar basalt rocks for the Olomouc Zoo, that are placed in the aviary, not only as a decoration but also as a nesting area. As a model for these rocks, we used the filming location of a Czech fairy tale – The proud princess – so-called basalt organ at Kamenický Šenov. For this installation, we have also used shotcrete technology.
